Rev. Rebecca Best
Pastor Rebecca currently serves as the lead pastor of Hawthorne Foursquare Church. She has pastored for twenty-nine years and is dedicated to discipling and equipping people to seek and love God. She was raised in a strong Christian home and came into Foursquare as a teen. She faithfully trusts God to bring her through every test and trial that life presents no matter what it looks like! Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s of Science from Azusa Pacific and a Masters of Strategic Leadership from Life Pacific University. Since 1985, she has served in various capacities within the Foursquare Church. She has served the Board of Directors, Foursquare Cabinet, District Licensing and Ethics committees, District Council, District Missions Committee and as a Divisional Superintendent. She has a passion for the lost and loves to take the message global! Pastor Rebecca also serves the community as a substitute teacher at a local middle school. She finds serving Jesus the greatest adventure on earth and loves to be wherever God opens the door! The verse that motivates her every move is found in John 10:10; “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may life and have it to the full.”
YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S PASTOR
Pastor Pamela Gulick
Pastor Pam has served at Hawthorne Foursquare Church from 1996 to the present. She creatively serves God with heart, soul, mind and strength. She passionately shares the love of Jesus and invites every child and youth in her care to receive Christ as Savior. She is equipping the generation to faithfully serve God in ways that impact those around them. Pastor Pam is alumni of Santa Barbara State and holds a Bachelor’s in Zoology. In addition to yielding her gifts and talents in the local church, she is a fifth grade teacher for LAUSD. She describes herself as one on an adventure that “dares to try new things and go new places to broaden her worldview and share the love of Jesus and productive teaching”.
ASSISTING MINISTER
Rev. Francine Fults
Pastor Francine wholeheartedly and gratefully accepted Christ as her personal savior in 1980 after years of rebellion and searching for truth concerning God. In 2000, she entered formal ministry as a licensed Foursquare minister after her retirement from a major utility company. At her previous church, she served as women’s pastor and was involved in teaching, counseling, homeless ministry and community outreach. Over the years she served as church secretary, treasurer, missionary liaison, and facilitated the usher and hospitality ministry. One of the highlights of her ministry has been traveling to Uganda and spending time ministering at a children’s center. The opportunity broadened her view of life and sparked gratitude for the many blessings we enjoy in the United States. She continues to support the beautiful children she met in Africa and carries them in her heart. In 2017, Pastor Francine gladly accepted a position as assisting minister at Hawthorne Foursquare Church. In 2018 Francine was honored with her ordination. Francine and her husband Glenn are lifelong residents of San Pedro. They have two adult children and three grandchildren. Francine loves Jesus, people, animals, Mexican food & anything chocolate, in that order.
